Fender









Removal and Installation

NOTE: If necessary, remove the rear wheels for easier access of the fender retaining bolts.

1. Remove the rear wheels. For additional information, refer to Wheels and Tires.

2. Remove the 3 screws from the fuel filler hose.
- To install, tighten to 1 Nm (9 lb-in).





3. Remove the splash shield retainers and the fender splash shield.

4. Remove the parking lamp electrical sockets from the fender.





5. Remove 6 rear fender-to-pickup bed nuts and bolts from the bottom front and the bottom rear of the fender.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).





6. Remove 5 fender nuts (3 shown) from inside the front of the fender.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).





7. Remove 5 fender retaining nuts (2 shown) from inside the rear of the fender.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).





8. Remove 3 fender retaining bolts and the bracket from the top front of the fender.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).





9. Remove 3 fender retaining bolts and the bracket from the top rear of the fender.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).





10. Remove the fender.

11. Remove and discard one fender hold-down pushpin from the pickup bed.





12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
