Seat - Rear, Crew Cab, Bucket Seat
NOTE: For seat riser-to-floor bolt and nut torque specification and torque sequence, refer to the steps in this procedure.
Crew Cab Bench Seat Cushion
Removal
Vehicles with second row center console
1. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to Instrument Cluster / Carrier &/or Interior Moulding / Trim.
All vehicles
2. Remove the safety belt buckles from the retaining strap on both rear seats.
3. Remove the 2 riser-to-floor nuts.
4. Remove and discard the 2 riser-to-floor bolts.
5. Lift the rear seats off of the floor and rotate forward 180 degrees.
6. Remove the bucket seat assembly from the vehicle.
7. Remove the affected seat riser-to-support nuts.
8. Remove the affected support-to-cushion frame bolts and remove the affected seat.
Installation
NOTE: Before installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
All vehicles
1. NOTE: Make sure to install the spacer on the front inboard support-to-cushion frame bolt.
Position the affected seat onto the support and install the support-to-cushion frame bolts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
2. Position the riser on the side of the affected seat and install the riser-to-support nuts.
- Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
3. Position the seat in the vehicle.
4. NOTE: New bolts must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed. The studs and nuts can be reused.
Install the seat retainers in the following sequence.
1. Install 2 new riser-to-floor bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
2. Install the 2 riser-to-floor nuts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
5. Position the safety belt buckles through the retaining strap on both rear seats.
- Make sure the safety belt is not twisted prior to installation.
Vehicles with second row center console
6. Install the floor console. For additional information, refer to Instrument Cluster / Carrier &/or Interior Moulding / Trim.
