Electric Heater Battery Cables

















Removal and Installation

Both electric heater battery cable assemblies

1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Battery.

Underhood electric heater battery cable assembly

2. Remove the engine Air Cleaner (ACL). For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.

3. Remove the underhood electric heater battery cable negative terminal nut.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

4. Remove the underhood electric heater battery cable positive terminal nut.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

5. Remove the 2 electric heater battery cable dash panel terminal nuts.
- to install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

6. Detach and remove the underhood electric heater battery cable assembly.

Passenger compartment electric heater battery cable assembly

7. Remove the heater core and evaporator core housing. For additional information, refer to Heater Core And Evaporator Core Housing Service and Repair.

8. Remove the electric heater battery cable bracket screw.

9. Remove the 2 heater tube bracket screws.

10. Disconnect and remove the passenger compartment electric heater battery cable assembly.

Both electric heater battery cable assemblies

11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
