Seat Track - Bucket and 40 Percent




Seat Track - Bucket and 40 Percent

Removal

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Front Seat - Exploded View, Front.

1. Remove the seat backrest assembly. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front, Bucket and 40 Percent Seat Backrest - Front, Bucket and 40 Percent.

2. Remove the seat track assist spring.





3. Remove the 4 cushion frame bolts and separate the seat track and cushion frame.
- Release any remaining wire harness retainers.
- Note the wire harness routing for correct installation.

4. Remove the seat track adjustment handle.
- Remove one side of the seat track adjustment handle at a time.





5. Remove the 8 nuts and 2 seat tracks from the cushion tube assembly.

Installation

1. Install the 2 seat tracks and 8 nuts to the cushion tube assembly.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

2. Install the seat track adjustment handle.
- Install one side of the seat track adjustment handle at a time.

3. Install the cushion frame and 4 bolts to the seat track.
- Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

- Correctly install the wire harness as noted in removal.

4. Install the seat track assist spring.

5. Install the seat backrest. If a passenger seat has been serviced, do not prove out the SRS at this time. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front, Bucket and 40 Percent Seat Backrest - Front, Bucket and 40 Percent.

6. For passenger seat, carry out the Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) System Reset. For additional information, refer to the General Procedures portion of Restraint Systems.
