Instrument Cluster and Panel Illumination

NOTE: The Smart Junction Box (SJB) is also known as the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).

The Instrument Cluster (IC) and panel lighting system consists of both dimmable and non-dimmable (fixed) illumination. The dimmable illumination is controlled by the driver through the instrument panel dimmer switch based upon the desired level of intensity. The dimmable illumination sources are:

- Climate control assembly
- IC
- Audio unit
- Speed control switches
- Headlamp switch
- Fog lamp switch (if equipped)
- Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) mode switch (if equipped)

The fixed illumination sources are the driver and passenger door lock switches.
