Acceleration Control
Acceleration Control
The acceleration control consists of the following components:
- Fixed accelerator pedal
- Accelerator cable
- Splash shield
The throttle is controlled by the accelerator cable which is attached to the accelerator pedal. As the operator presses on the accelerator pedal, the accelerator pedal pulls on the accelerator cable which opens the throttle.
- The accelerator pedal and shaft must travel smoothly from idle to the Wide Open Throttle (WOT) position. Hesitation on return or prevention of return to the idle position must not occur.
- Components such as wiring, hoses, sound insulation or carpet must not contact the sliding member of the accelerator cable or the accelerator pedal and shaft.
- The throttle assembly is not adjustable.
