Principles of Operation
Power Window Operation
The power window system receives power from the accessory relay. The accessory relay receives fused ignition voltage when the key is in either the RUN or ACC position. When the accessory relay is energized, it supplies power to the master power window control switch.
Power Window Control
The power windows can be operated from the individual window switch located on each door panel. The passenger power window can be operated from the driver (master) power window switch. The driver side window has 2 modes of operation: manual and auto. In manual mode, the window control switch will move the window down until the switch is released.
Auto mode provides one-touch down operation for the driver window only. The one-touch down function moves the driver window to the full open position when the master power window switch is momentarily pressed and released.
