Pinpoint Test D: The Power Seat Does Not Make Full Travel

Normal Operation

The power seat should travel fully horizontal (forward/rearward) and vertical (front up/down and rear up/down).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Seat track obstruction
- Seat track


PINPOINT TEST D: THE POWER SEAT DOES NOT MAKE FULL TRAVEL

D1 CHECK FOR AN OBSTRUCTION IN THE SEAT TRACK


- Remove the driver seat. Refer to Seat - Front Seat - Front.
- Check for obstruction in the seat track.
- Is the seat track free from obstruction?

Yes
IDENTIFY the cause and REPAIR as necessary. INSTALL the driver seat. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
REMOVE the obstruction(s). INSTALL the driver seat. TEST the system for normal operation.
