EMISSIONS - IDENTIFICATION OF CALIFORNIA AND 49 STATE UNITS

ISSUE: California emission equipped units or 49 State emission equipped units may be identified by the presence of an EVP sensor and the number of pulse air tubes. The California units have an EVP sensor mounted on the EGR valve and have ONE pulse air tube at the air cleaner reed valve assembly. The 49 State units DO NOT have an EVP sensor on the EGR valve and have TWO (2) pulse air tubes at the air cleaner reed valve assembly.
ACTION: No corrective action is required.
