Test 9, Idle Speed Check

1. Connect a suitable tachometer to engine.
2. Turn all accessories off, then start engine and allow to reach operating temperature.
3. Start the engine, with test connector grounded.
4. Idle speed should read 725-775 RPM in Park or Neutral. Make adjustments as needed.
5. Proceed to Test 10 on non-turbocharged models or Test 13 on turbocharged models.
