Operational Test Description
Operational Test procedures are provided to serve as
pre-Road Test checks. They are conducted with the engine operating in the service facility, in a minimum of time, and with less effort than the Road Tests require. They are used to determine the causes of (and provide the corrective actions for) transaxle malfunctions most likely to occur. These include the torque converter, the powertrain, the friction elements (clutches and
band), the power source or hydraulic system, and the associated regulating valves and controls.
