Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

Throttle Body Assembly:

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect electrical connector from injector top.
2. Remove fuel injector retaining screw and retainer.
3. Remove injector and lower O-ring. Discard O-ring.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Refer to SPECIFICATIONS/MECHANICAL for torque values.

1. Lubricate a new lower O-ring and the injector seat area with clean engine oil.
2. Install lower O-ring on injector.
3. Lubricate upper O-ring, clean and lubricate throttle body O-ring seat.
5. Install injector by centering and applying a steady downward pressure with slight force.
5. Install injector retainer and retaining screw.
6. Tighten retainer screw. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS
7 Connect electrical connector.
