Installation

1. Install the rear disc brake rotor on the wheel hub.
2. Install the rear disc brake caliper and rear disc brake caliper anchor plate assembly. Tighten the two rear disc brake caliper anchor plate bolts to 45-67 N-m (33-49 lb ft).
3. Install a new rear axle wheel hub retainer. Tighten the rear axle wheel hub retainer to 177-235 N-m (130-174 lb-ft).

CAUTION: If the rear axle wheel hub retainer splits or cracks after staking, it must be replaced with a new rear axle wheel hub retainer.

NOTE: The staking tool can be fabricated from an existing hardened chisel. The correct radius on the chisel tip will prevent improper staking. Do not attempt to stake with a sharp edged tool.

4. Stake the new rear axle wheel hub retainer using a cold chisel with the cutting edge rounded as shown.
5. Install the hub grease cap.
6. Install the wheel. Tighten the wheel hub bolt nuts to 88-118 N-m (65-87 lb ft).
