Radiator: Service and Repair
1. Remove four nuts connecting upper and lower charge air cooler tubes to charge air cooler.2. Slightly loosen upper charge air cooler inlet tube nut at alternator/power steering pump bracket.
3. Remove charge air cooler attaching screws and washers.
4. Push down slightly on charge air cooler to release retaining clips.
5. Remove charge air cooler from vehicle.
6. Drain cooling system.
7. Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses.
8. On models with automatic transmission, disconnect transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet lines from their intermediate fittings.
NOTE: Cap both fittings to prevent contamination of the transmission oil cooling system.
9. Remove overflow hose from clip on fan shroud.
10. Remove wiring harness retaining clip from fan shroud.
11. Disengaging shroud from lower retaining clips, lift fan shroud and cooling fan assembly from radiator.
12. Remove two bolts attaching charge air cooler air duct to top of radiator.
13. Remove two radiator upper retaining bolts, then tilt radiator towards engine and lift out of vehicle.
14. Reverse procedure to install.
