E-Series - BI-Fuel





1. Remove the fuel filler valve retaining nut. See Figure 7.

2. Remove the fuel filler valve from the mounting bracket. Then, move the valve to a more accessible location.

3. Remove the fuel line from the fuel filler valve elbow.

4. Remove the elbow from the fuel filler valve.

5. Lubricate the O-rings on the new fuel filler valve and the fuel filler valve elbow with 5W-30 motor oil.





6. Install the elbow on the new fuel filler valve. See Figure 8 for the orientation of the elbow to the fuel filler valve. Tighten the elbow to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).

7. Install the fuel filler valve assembly on the fuel line. Tighten the retaining nut to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft). Make sure the manual backflow valve is accessible for service.

8. Position the fuel filler valve in the mounting bracket.

9. Install the fuel filler valve retaining nut. Tighten the nut to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).

10. Make sure the manual backflow valve is closed by tightening the allen screw to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

11. With the fuel switch in the "GFI" mode, cycle the ignition key to repressurize the fuel line.

12. Using Snoop(R), check the fuel filler valve-to-fuel line connection(s) for leaks. Repair as necessary.

13. Fill out the "Authorized Modifications Label" as outlined at the end of these instructions.
