1. Remove the fuel filler valve flange retaining screws from the fuel filler valve. See Figure 15.

2. Remove the fuel filler valve and flange assembly from the mounting bracket. Then, move the valve to a more accessible location.





3. Remove the fuel filler valve and flange assembly from the fuel line. See Figure 16.

4. Lubricate the O-ring on the new fuel filler valve with 5W-30 motor oil.

5. Install the fuel filler valve and flange assembly to the fuel line. Tighten the retaining nut to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft). Make sure the manual backflow valve is accessible for service.

6. Position the fuel filler valve and flange assembly in the mounting bracket.

7. Install the fuel filler valve flange retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

8. Make sure the manual backflow valve is closed by tightening the allen screw to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

9. Cycle the ignition key to repressurize the fuel line.

10. Using Snoop(R), check the fuel filler valve-to-fuel line connection(s) for leaks. Repair as necessary.

11. Fill out the "Authorized Modifications Label" as outlined at the end of these instructions.
