Pinpoint Test B - Power Windows Completely Inoperative

NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide a procedure to perform the following pinpoint test without the Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) tester 007-00500 or equivalent.

B1 - Check Delayed Accessory In Run

Turn ignition switch to RUN.
- Test all windows.

Do windows operate?

YES System operating normally.
NO GO to B2.

B2 - Driver Window Only Inoperative

- Repeat B1.

Do all work except driver window?

YES GO to B5.
NO G0 to B3.

B3 - Passenger Window Inoperative

- Repeat B1.

Do any passenger windows work?

YES GO to Pinpoint Test C to diagnose inoperative window(s). C: Single Power Window Inoperative
NO G0 to B4.

B4 - No Windows Work

- Repeat B1.

Are all windows inoperative?

YES CHECK circuit 193 (Y/LG). RETEST system.
NO GO to B5.

B5 - Test Driver Window Down Switch

- Connect Rotunda New Generation Star Tester 007-00500 or equivalent to Data Link Connector.
- While holding driver window down switch, request Driver Door Module Window Switch Status PID.

Does PID indicate driver window switch down?

YES TEST Driver Window Down Switch as outlined in Component Test, or SERVICE circuit 226 (W/BK) from switch to driver door module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system. Master Switch
NO GO to B6.

B6 - Bypass Driver Door Module

- Disconnect driver door module connector C3.
- Jumper pins C3-1 and C3-2 together.
- Using window switch, run window up and down.

NOTE: The one touch down feature will not work during this operation.

Does window operate?

YES REPLACE driver door module. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE window circuit 226 (W/BK). RETEST system.
