Pinpoint Test C - Single Power Window Inoperative

NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide a procedure to perform the following pinpoint test without the Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) tester 007-00500 or equivalent.

C1 - Check Window Operation

- Turn ignition switch to RUN.
- Operate all windows from driver switch.

Do all windows operate properly?

YES GO to C2.
NO GO to Pinpoint Test B.

C2 - Check Individual Window Operation

- Turn ignition switch to RUN.
- Turn off window lockout on driver door switch.
- Operate windows from all passenger (not driver) switches.

Do all windows operate properly?

YES ADVISE customer of the lockout feature.
NO GO to C3.

C3 - Check Window PID

- Connect Rotunda New Generation Star Tester 007-00500 or equivalent to data link connector.
- While holding passenger window down switch, request driver door module window status PID LFPW_SW.

Does PID indicate window switch down?

YES Go to Pinpoint Test B. B: Power Windows Completely Inoperative
NO SERVICE Window Down Switch. GO to Component Test or SERVICE circuit 226 (W/BK) from switch to driver door module. RETEST system. Component Tests
