Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection

Lower ball joint wear check:

Support vehicle in normal driving position with both ball joints loaded. Clean area around grease fitting and checking surface. Checking surface is round boss into which grease fitting is installed. Checking surface should project outside ball joint cover. If checking surface is inside cover, replace ball joint.
