QT5 Perform New Generation Star Tester Hookup

- Verify that a failure has been detected in the ABS. (An illuminated anti-lock brake warning indicator in the key ON, engine running mode indicates a present failure. If the anti-lock brake warning indicator is not illuminated in key ON, engine running mode but the symptom exists, it may indicate a past or intermittent problem.)

- Turn the ignition key OFF.

- Access the data link connector located in the engine compartment.

- Connect the New Generation STAR (NGS) tester to the data link connector and battery.

- Set the Super MECS Adapter 007-00052 to ABS.

- Is the NGS tester hooked up properly?

YES -- Proceed to QT7. QT7 Perform ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code Retrieval

NO -- Re-attempt this step. Service any faults if necessary.
