Rear
1. Grease or any other foreign material must be kept off the surfaces of the rear disc brake rotor and the rear brake shoes and linings. In handling the rear disc brake rotor and the rear disc brake caliper, avoid deformation of the rear disc brake rotor and nicking or scratching of the rear brake shoes and linings.2. During the removal and installation of a wheel and tire assembly, exercise care not to interfere with the rear wheel disc brake shield or the bleeder screw.
3. Rear wheel bearing end play is critical and must be within specification.
4. The wheel and tire assembly must be removed separately from the rear disc brake rotor.
5. Do not attempt to clean or restore any oil or grease-soaked rear brake shoes and linings. When contaminated rear brake shoes and linings are found, they must be replaced.
6. When replacing a rear disc brake rotor after either machining or new part replacement, make sure the wheel hub surface is clean and free of rust or contaminants before installation.
7. During any removal procedure and prior to installation, use the Rotunda Brake/Clutch/Service Vacuum 091-R0001 or equivalent to remove any rear brake shoe and lining dust and foreign material.
