Vehicle Damage Warnings

Exhaust Gas Oxygen (EGO) sensors can be contaminated by high volatility type silicones. This type of silicone can be found in sealants and gasket material. When volatile silicones migrate and come in contact with EGO, contamination can occur rendering EGO defective. When performing service on engine, use only low volatility type silicone sealant. Replace EGO if contaminated.

CAUTION: Do not use conventional silicone rubber sealants when low volatility silicone sealant is specified. Use Ford part number F1AZ-19662-A Low Volatility RTV sealant, or equivalent where specified.
