Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify customer concern by operating the turn signal/hazard flasher system.
2. Visually inspect the components of the turn signal/hazard flasher system.

Mechanical
- Damaged turn signal switch.
- Damaged hazard flasher switch.

Electrical
- Blown fuse(s):
+ 15 A TURN.
+ 15 A HAZARD.
- Damaged turn signal miniature bulb(s).
- Damaged wiring harness.
- Loose or corroded connections.

3. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
4. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
