Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the engine air cleaner intake tube.

Air Cleaner:

3. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor connector and the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connector.
4. Loosen the clamp between the MAF sensor and the air cleaner to intake manifold tube.
5. Remove the engine air cleaner cover.
6. Remove the four MAF sensor bolts.
7. Remove the MAF sensor from the engine air cleaner cover.
8. Remove the IAT sensor from the engine air cleaner cover.

Air Cleaner Element:

9. Remove the air cleaner element.

Air Cleaner:

10. Remove the two engine air cleaner nuts and one bolt.
11. Remove the engine air cleaner.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten the engine air cleaner bolt and two nuts to 19-25 Nm (14-19 lb ft).
- Tighten the four MAF sensor bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-88 lb in).
- Tighten the IAT sensor to 11-16 Nm (96-144 lb in).
