Suspension: Description and Operation
The front suspension consists of MacPherson struts and a single wishbone lower control arm. The upper end of the coil spring rides in a heavy rubber spring seat. A forged steering knuckle is bolted to the shock absorber.
The wide stance control arms are supported by rubber bushings at each end. Body lean on turns is controlled by a hollow stabilizer bar that connects both lower control arms. The front hub and rotor assemblies are supported by one piece roller bearings mounted in the steering knuckle. The wheel bearing is pressed into the steering knuckle. The hub assembly is pressed into the wheel bearing assembly.
