ISSUE:
The CD4E transaxle chain cover pan assembly has been modified to incorporate alignment tabs (Figure 1). These alignment tabs, which replace roll pins utilized by the previous design chain cover pan assembly, locate the chain cover pan with the case assembly.





ACTION:
When replacing the previous design CD4E transaxle chain cover pan assembly, remove the roll pins from the case assembly (Figure 2) and install the F6RZ-7H293-A level chain cover pan assembly. If replacement is required of a previous design transaxle case assembly with roll pins, replace with a revised design transaxle case assembly without roll pins (F6RZ-7005.A) and use the revised design transaxle chain cover pan assembly with tabs (F6RZ-7H293-A).
