ISSUE:
A "whistle" noise can be heard from the transaxle area on some vehicles. This noise occurs when the engine is at operating temperature and idling, and the gear shift selector is in "Park". This is due to hydraulic pressure in the main control and will not affect transaxle function.

ACTION:
Replace the Main Control Separator Plate (F6RZ-7A008-A) on a customer concern basis over the issue. Refer to the service procedures in the Contour/Mystique Service Manual, Section 07-01, or the Probe Service Manual, Section 07-01A.
