This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to correct the part number listed for the Forward Clutch Cylinder with a 13 mm spline.

ISSUE:
1996 AX4S trans axles built through 2/29/96 have longer splines for the Forward and the Direct/Intermediate Clutch Hubs than transaxles built from 3/1/96. The change in hub spline length is to commonize 1996 AX4S transaxle models.








ACTION:
If replacement of hardware is necessary, inspect the spline length of the Forward Clutch Hub (Figure 1) and the Direct/Intermediate Clutch Hub (Figure 2). Refer to the following Parts Application and Spline Length Data to select correct part.

CAUTION:
THESE PARTS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE AND MUST BE REPLACED WITH THE CORRECT AND MATCHING SPLINE LENGTH.

^ Direct/Intermediate Clutch Cylinder Assembly - F6DZ-7G120-BA
