Suspension Inspection

NOTE: The only rear suspension adjustment that can be made in service is the lateral positioning of the axle torsion beam for tracking.

Toe
Rear wheel toe is determined by the axle torsion beam arms and is not adjustable. Toe out of specification indicates axle torsion beam distortion, resulting from curb impacts, collision damage, or improper hoisting.Correction of rear toe out of specification (other than a lateral adjustment) requires replacement of the axle torsion beam.

Camber
Rear wheel camber is determined by the axle torsion beam arms and is not adjustable. Camber out of specification indicates axle torsion beam distortion resulting from curb impacts, collision damage, or improper hoisting. Correction of rear camber out of specification (other than a lateral adjustment) requires replacement of the axle torsion beam.
