Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait one minute for the backup power supply energy to be depleted.
2. Remove the shift console panel.






3. Disconnect the two air bag diagnostic monitor electrical connectors.
4. Remove the three air bag diagnostic monitor nuts.
5. Slide the air bag diagnostic monitor out of the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Verify that the air bag warning indicator is operative.
