Cruise Control Servo: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Disconnect the speed control servo electrical connector.







3. Remove the speed control cable cap from the speed control servo by depressing the speed control cable cap locking arm and rotating the speed control cable cap counterclockwise.







4. Remove the speed control cable ball slug from the speed control servo pulley. Gently push the speed control cable ball slug past the retaining spring using a small screwdriver.







5. Remove the three speed control servo nuts and remove the speed control servo.

CAUTION: Excessive bending of the speed control cable cap locking arm or the speed control servo pulley will cause damage. Do not use speed control servos with damaged speed control servo pulleys or damaged or missing speed control cable cap locking arms.

INSTALLATION

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
