Fuse Block: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.







2. Remove the scuff plate, the three retainers and the LH cowl side trim panel.







3. Disconnect the electrical connector.







4. Remove the nut and disconnect the interior fuse junction panel from the upper mounting tab.







5. Detach the interior sub-fuse junction panel.







6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear of the interior fuse junction panel.







7. Disconnect the two electrical connectors from the front of the interior fuse junction panel.







8. Disconnect the (A) wiring harness connectors and the (B) HEATER circuit breaker from the interior fuse junction panel.







9. Remove the warning chime module.
^ Release the retaining clips.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
