Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Disconnect the electrical connector.







3. Remove the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.
^ Remove the bolt.
^ Remove the Camshaft Position Sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate the O-ring lightly with engine oil. Position the camshaft position sensor.

NOTE: Inspect the O-ring for damage; replace if required.







2. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
