Windshield Wiper Motor

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.







1. Remove the wiper arms.
^ Lift up the plastic caps and loosen the nuts approx. two turns.
^ Lift the wiper arms and release them from the taper by moving them to one side.
^ Remove the nuts and the wiper arms.

NOTE: Ensure that the wiper motor is in park position.







2. Remove the air cowl grille.
^ Unclip the caps.
^ Remove the bolts.







3. Remove the wiper motor and linkage.
^ Detach the wiper motor protective cap.
^ Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
^ Remove three bolts.







4. Mark the position of the lever in relation to the assembly plate.







5. Remove the wiper motor from the mounting plate and lever.
1. Remove the nut.
2. Remove the bolts.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the components in the reverse order.

NOTE:
^ Ensure that the wiper motor is in park position.
^ When installing the wiper linkage, fit the guide pins before fitting the bolts.
^ Ensure that the wiper blades do not touch the air cowl grille or the moulding.

2. Check the operation of the front wipers.
