REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
WARNING:
^ DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR FUEL-RELATED COMPONENTS. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE VAPORS ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND CAN IGNITE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
^ THIS PROCEDURE INVOLVES FUEL HANDLING. BE PREPARED FOR FUEL SPILLAGE AT ALL TIMES AND ALWAYS OBSERVE FUEL HANDLING PRECAUTIONS. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
2. Release the fuel pressure.
3. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator electrical connector and the vacuum hose.
5. Disconnect the fuel injector harness retaining clips from the fuel injection supply manifold.
6. Disconnect the fuel tube.
7. Remove the bolts and the fuel injection supply manifold.
8. If necessary, remove the fuel injectors.
NOTE: Remove and discard the fuel injector O-rings.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: Install new O-rings and lubricate them with clean engine oil.
