Timing Component Alignment Marks: Locations

The copper link on one end and one link on the other end, are used as timing marks.

Installing Timing Chains:





- LH (inner) timing chain, aligning the copper link with the dot on the, crankshaft sprocket.
- LH (inner) timing chain, aligning the copper link with the dot on the camshaft sprocket.
- RH (outer) timing chain, aligning the copper link with the dot on the crankshaft sprocket.
- RH (outer) timing chain, aligning the copper link with the dot on the camshaft sprocket.


Aligning Chain Marks:





Copper (marked) chain links lined up with the dots on the crankshaft sprocket and the camshaft sprockets.
