New Clutch Adjustment Procedure
Clutch Cable Adjustment
1. Clutch is adjusted by lifting clutch pedal up to allow mechanism to adjust cable. Depress pedal slowly several times to set pawl into mesh with detent teeth.
2. Check clutch linkage for lost motion caused by loose or worn swivels, deflection of mounting brackets or damaged cordon shaft.
3. At this point, the clutch cable should not have slack. If it does, follow the adjustment procedure outlined under Pressure Plate Clutch Disc Removal.
