Choke Coil Lever Adjustment

Fig. 9 Choke coil lever adjustment:

1. Loosen choke cover retaining screws, then the cover and coil assembly from choke housing. If a riveted choke cover is used, remove choke cover and coil assembly as outlined in the choke cover retainer kit.
2. Place fast idle screw on high step of cam.
3. Push the intermediate choke lever until the choke valve closes, Fig. 9.
4. Insert specified gauge into hole provided in choke housing. The edge of the lever should just contact gauge.
5. To adjust, bend intermediate choke rod.
