An objectionable moan, caused by the generator brackets, may be heard inside the vehicle on some 1978-83 Chevrolets equipped with a V8 diesel engine (LF9 Code N) and air conditioning.
Should this condition be encountered, confirm the source of the moan by removing the generator belt. If the moan, improves or is corrected with the belt removed, Generator Bracket Kit, P/N 22520345, should be installed. The bracket kit is available from WDDGM and contains instruction sheets and all necessary parts to complete this installation of all 1978-83 diesel engines equipped with air conditioning.
