1. Drain cooling system and engine block.
2. Remove intake and exhaust manifolds.
3. Remove alternator lower mounting bolt and position alternator aside.
4. If equipped with A/C, remove compressor and forward mounting bracket and position aside.
5. Remove rocker arm cover, rocker arms and pushrods. Keep rocker arm, rocker arm balls and pushrods in order so they can be installed in the same position.
6. Remove cylinder head bolts and cylinder head.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten cylinder head and intake manifold bolts in sequence shown in Figs. 9 and 15.
