Choke Coil Lever

Fig. 10 Choke coil lever adjustment:

1. Remove choke cover retaining screws or drill out and remove rivets, then remove choke cover and thermostat.
2. Place fast idle cam on high step against follower lever and push up on choke lever to fully close choke valve.
3. Insert .120 inch gauge plug into hole in choke housing. Gauge should enter hole and just touch edge of lever.
4. Adjust as needed by bending choke link, Fig. 10.
