A/T - 700R4 Pump Cover Screen

SUBJECT: 700-R4





For 1984 some THM 700 R4 transmissions will not have the pump cover screen (# 3) as illustrated. In these pump covers, there will be a cup plug sealing the hole. It is not necessary, or possible, to install the screen.

If the screen is left out of a pump, the result is severe slipping, and early shifts.

1985 units will once again have a screen in the pump cover.
