A/T - 700R4 Valve Chatter/Not Enough Oil Feed

SUBJECT: 700 R4

PROBLEM: Valve Chatter

ONE CAUSE: Not enough oil feed

REMEDY:




To get a better operation on a a 700 R4 transmission, grind a deep flat on each side of the journal where the large arrow points (see illustration). This will allow more clutch feed oil to enter, and will aid in cooling the transmission.
