Fluid Change

DRAINING BOTTOM PAN ONLY
1. Disconnect filler tube at bottom pan and allow fluid to drain. Remove and discard filler tube O-ring.

2. Use a new O-ring on filler tube and install tube on pan.

3. Lower car and add specified amount of transmission fluid through filler tube when replacing intake pipe and strainer assembly.

4. Operate engine at a fast idle for about 1 1/2 minutes with selector lever in Park ("P") position.

5. Reduce engine speed to slow idle and check fluid level. Then add fluid as required to bring it to the proper level.


ADDING FLUID TO FILL DRY TRANSMISSION & CONVERTER
1. Add specified amount of fluid through filler tube.

2. Operate engine at a fast idle for about 1 1/2 minutes with selector lever in Park ("P") position.

3. Reduce engine speed to slow idle and add three more quarts of fluid.

4. Check fluid level and add as required to bring it to the proper level.
