SUBJECT: LOOSENING OF HINGE AND LATCH FROM GLASS OF SWING OUT WINDOW

MODELS: 1988 C/K EXTENDED CAB TRUCKS
Some 1988 C/K extended-cab trucks have experienced loosening of hinges and latches glued onto the glass of the side swing-out window. The new windows have hinges and latches bolted onto the glass. If replacement of a glued-on hinge or latch is required, all parts of the window hinge, latch, and glass) must be replaced. Parts from the dd design (glued-on parts) window are not interchangeable with parts from the new (bolt-on parts) window.

VIN 2GTFK29KGJ1579148 (GMC) VIN 2GCHC39NXJ1288965 (Chevrolet) are equipped with the new bolted hinge design.
