Valve Body & Associated Parts

Refer to the "Service Bulletins" section prior to performing the following procedure.

Fig. 11, 1-2 & 3-4 accumulator assembly. 1987-90 Models:

1. Install 3-4 accumulator pin into case, Fig. 11, then the 3-4 accumulator piston seal onto the 3-4 accumulator piston.
2. Install 3-4 accumulator piston onto the pin. End with three legs should face valve body.

3. Install 3-4 accumulator piston spring. Refer to Fig. 96.
4. Install governor and converter clutch oil screens.

Fig. 16, Case check balls & filters. 1987-90 Models:

5. Install check balls in case as shown in Figs. 16, then tool No. J- 25025-5 into the case.
6. Install spacer plate to case gasket. Gasket is identified by a "C" marking.
7. Install spacer plate, then the valve body to spacer plate gasket. Gasket is identified by a "V" marking.
