Automatic Transmission

Remove or Disconnect

^ Apply the parking brake.
^ Raise the vehicle and support it with suitable safety stands.
1. Harness connector (275).
2. Screw (279).
^ Rotate the cover (278) to the side.
3. Speed sensor (277).
4. Seal (276).

Inspect
^ All parts for wear and damage.

Install or Connect

1. New seal (276), onto the speed sensor (277). Coat the seal with a thin film of transmission oil.
2. Speed sensor (277).
^ Rotate the cover (278) into place.
3. Screw (279).

Tighten
^ Screw (279) to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).

4. Harness connector (275). Lower the vehicle. Release the parking brake.
5. Transmission fluid if needed.
