Front Endplay Check

1. Remove oil pump bolt and washer at 10 o'clock position, and install slide hammer rod too No. J-6125 or equivalent.

2. Attach dial indicator tool No. J-8001 or equivalent.

3. Eliminate slack by pressing turbine shaft to rear and the output shaft forward.

4. Index J-8001 against end of turbine shaft and set dial to zero.

5. Pull out on turbine shaft and note measurement Endplay should be 0.003-0.024 inch.






6. Select correct washer, and remove tools. Front endplay check must be repeated during assembly of transmission to verify accuracy.
