Recall - Emission Label Installation

89chevy13

NUMBER: 89-E-07

GROUP: 0A-GENERAL INFORMATION

DATE: July, 1989
SUBJECT: EMISSION LABEL INSTALLATION

MODELS: 1989 RV 25-35 TRUCKS BUILT AT JANESVILLE
General Motors has determined that certain 1989 RV 25-35 trucks equipped with 5.7L or 6.2L engines with heavy duty emissions, and built at Janesville were shipped without the specified emission (tuneup) label, which is required by the Clean Air Act. To correct this condition, it will be necessary to install an emission label. Since a label can be easily installed and to reduce owner inconvenience, the label will be sent directly to owners of record. Owners may install the label or they may ask a dealer to do the service. Dealer service is to be done at no charge to owners.
