Turbo

1. Disconnect battery cables, then the battery.
2. Scribe hood hinge locations, then disconnect underhood light and remove hood.
3. Remove air cleaner and duct assembly.
4. Drain engine coolant and charge air cooler radiators.
5. Remove turbocharger air inlet elbow, then the upper fan shroud.
6. Remove cooling fan pulley nuts, serpentine belt, fan and pulley.
7. Remove battery tray and vacuum tank, then raise and support vehicle.
8. Remove front tire and wheel assemblies, then the wheelhouse panels.
9. Disconnect exhaust system from catalytic converter.
10. Remove catalytic converter support bolts, then the turbocharger outlet pipe bracket.
11. Remove turbocharger outlet pipe nuts, then move outlet pipe and catalytic converter away from the turbocharger.
12. Disconnect electrical connector from charge air cooler radiator temperature sensor and radiator hoses.
13. Remove charge air cooler radiator, then the exhaust crossover pipe.
14. Lower vehicle and disconnect transmission cooler lines from radiator.
15. Remove upper and lower radiator hoses, then disconnect engine oil cooler lines from radiator.
16. Remove heater and overflow hoses from radiator, then the radiator from the vehicle.
17. Disconnect oil pipes at filter adapter, then the power steering pump hoses from the steering gear.
18. Remove engine coolant reservoir.
19. Remove A/C compressor from bracket and position out of the way.
20. Remove charge air cooler clamps, ducts and hoses.
21. Remove charge air cooler from supports.
22. Remove throttle body, gasket, bolts and cable bracket from upper intake manifold and position aside.
23. Remove heater hose from lower intake manifold, then disconnect electrical connectors and hoses from upper intake manifold.
24. Remove upper intake manifold, then the fuel pipes from fuel rail.
25. Disconnect remaining electrical connectors and vacuum lines from engine.
26. Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear propeller shaft.
27. Support transmission using a suitable transmission jack, then remove transmission crossmember and mount.
28. Remove front propeller shaft, then the torque converter cover.
29. Disconnect shift linkage from transmission and remove torque converter bolts.
30. Remove fuel pipes from hoses near transfer case.
31. Remove fuel line bracket from transfer case, then disconnect fuel line clip, electrical clips and connectors from transmission and transfer case.
32. Remove transfer case and gasket, then the T.V. cable from transmission.
33. Remove transmission cooler lines from transmission.
34. Remove torque converter housing bolts and transmission.
35. Remove fuel line clip, oil line and electrical harness clips from cylinder head.
36. Disconnect starter motor electrical connectors, then the starter motor.
37. Remove engine mount through bolts and nuts.
38. Lower vehicle, then disconnect electrical connections from oil pressure sensor, knock sensor.
39. Disconnect engine ground strap, then install a suitable engine lifting device.
40. Remove engine from vehicle.
41. Reverse procedure to install.
